Cherriots Administrative Office to Relocate

The Cherriots administrative office will be moving September 7 through 10 to a new location.   There may be limited ability to conduct business during this week; for assistance, please visit customer service at 687 Court St. NE. 

The administrative office will be open for business as usual on September 13 in the new location at 925 Commercial Street SE, Suite 100, Salem, Oregon 97302.  The transit district and Marion County are vacating Courthouse Square, which was identified as dangerous by the City of Salem.

Cherriots and CherryLift service will not be disrupted by the move. Full news release.

Cherriots Transit Mall to Remain Closed

Due to construction activity, the Transit Mall will be closed until further notice. Buses will be relocated to Cottage St. NE between State St. and Court St. NE.

Customer Service

Customer Service will remain at 687 Court St. NE (next to the YMCA) for the duration of the Transit Mall closure. All transactions can be handled at the new Customer Service site.

Things to Know

  • All routes will operate on regular schedules, with minor stop changes downtown.
  • Buses will not park in specifically marked spaces, but will be grouped for easy access (see bus parking map below).
  • During this time, bikes cannot be loaded on unloaded at the temporary transit mall. All bikes will need to be removed from the front of the bus one stop before the temporary transit mall. Bikes for outbound trips can be loaded at the first stop after the temporary transit mall.

Bicycle Loading/Unloading

Unload at the last stop before the temp. transit mall:
Routes 1X, 2, 3, 6, 7, 16, 20 - Court @ Winter
Routes 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 13, 17, 19 - Cottage @ Center

Load at the first stop after the temp. transit mall:
Routes 7, 16, 20 - State @ Capitol Bldg. Crosswalk
All other routes - Winter @ Willamette University
